Kentucky's minimum wage is set at $5.15 per hour based on a 40 hour workweek. A seven day overtime law is applicable in Kentucky, which states that any employee working seven days in any one workweek must be paid. Back pay is applicable for overtime if a written request is made by the employee of any county, charter county, consolidated local government, or urban-county government, including an employee of a county-elected official.
