| Maryland adopts the Federal minimum wage rate by reference. As a result, it's minimum wage rate is $6.15 per hour based on a 40 hour workweek. This is also applicable to employers with two (2) or more employees in the Baltimore City ordinance. Overtime pay is required after 48 hours for those who work in bowling alleys and for residential employees of institutions (other than hospitals) primarily engaged in the care of the sick, aged, or mentally ill.
