North Carolina State Minimum Wage and

The minimum wage for North Carolina is set at $5.15 per hour based on a 40 hour workweek. The State adopts the Federal minimum wage rate by reference. Overtime pay is required after 45 hours worked in a week in seasonal amusements or recreational employment. Those subject to the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act are not covered by the State law.
